Buildbase BMW Motorrad rider Jon Kirkham has successfully defended and consolidated his fifth-place championship position with two stunning fourth-place finishes at Oulton Park. James Westmoreland and Lee Jackson both retired from races following incidents, thankfully with neither rider injured.

Nottinghamshire rider Kirkham rode to his initial fourth-place finish in the first race at a gloriously sunny Oulton Park, earning fifth spot on the grid for the second BSB race along the way. His team mate James Westmoreland finished seventh, securing vital championship points.

The Buildbase BMW Motorrad team’s British Superbike riders are heading to Cheshire’s Oulton Park intending to defend and maintain their top-six championship positions. The team is currently the only one to have two riders within the ‘title fighters’ top-six positions.
